Could someone tell me what are filters in Tableau?

Filters are used to segregate and organize the data on pre-defined conditions to display only relevant information to use them for data visualization. In Tableau, there are 6 different types of filters in use and they are:

Table filters, Measure Filters, Data Source Filters, Extract filters, Context Filters, and Dimension Filters.
