Power BI and MongoDB - What is the best setup?

I am having a database with 50k records and collect with 20k records which I need to connect to PowerBi, and I was using MongoDB Connector which is slow.Is there any way to speed up the things

Use R from Power Bi to get the data from Mongo DB
