Can we automate barcode using selenium?

Could someone tell me whether we could automate barcode using Selenium?

Not really, but yes you could automate barcodes or even QR code with Selenium by using a 3rd party API like ZXing (which is a shortened form for Zebra crossing).  ZXing is a multi-format 1D/2D Barcode image processing library of Java which is open-sourced.
