Does salesforce admin require coding?

Could someone tell me whether Salesforce admin requires coding?

Answer 1

Not a straight No and not a Yes definitely. A Salesforce admin doesn’t require coding as part of his daily job because he/she will be working within a team so that the team will have developers, and consultants, who will take care of coding part, but the admin has to decide, and they could decide only if they have coding knowledge.

So, its advisable to have at least foundational level knowledge in coding in Apex, or Visualforce, etc. to make an intelligent decision within a team.
