Integrating external objects into SF without Salesforce or Lightning connect (from Postgres tables)

I have created some tables using Postgres database and want to integrated into Salesforce as an external objects. But, for that I don't want to use Salesforce Connect. Is there any other way to do that without using Salesforce Connect?

In order to integrate an external objects without using Salesforce Connect, so for that you need create your own custom logic using REST API triggers etc. And for that, you should have a good coding knowledge. Also, you can use third parties services like Informatica.
