Could someone tell me what is the full form of IoT and why its used?

IoT stands for Internet of Things and is referred to as the mechanism through which several products or machines with the help taken from sensors, actuators, etc. transmit and communicate data through the internet. IoT is growing very exponentially and this industry is moving forward with strength and diligence, with an aim for bringing comfort to every human.
