MySQL Workbench not opening on Windows

I have downloaded the no-install portable version of the Workbench. When I am running the executable file (on Windows XP), nothing is happening. Does it need some MySQL running? I think it is standalone, right? I have the XAMPP for MySQL. Any dependency etc?

You have to install the following in order to run the current version of the MySQL Workbench:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019.

Check the requirements from the MySQL site.
