Could someone tell me whether AZ-900 is worth it or not?

AZ-900 is a certification exam that was created by Azure, for all those who wish to get their basics clear in cloud computing especially Azure. And for those who wish to advance their cloud journey. Bear in mind that this certification exam is just a fundamental exam, and should not be considered mandatory for higher-level certification exams of Azure. AZ-900 is designed to get you off the mark so, there is nothing to talk about its worthiness. If you take it, will make your path to other certifications easier. So, if you are serious about getting into the cloud, I would suggest you take this exam, not just for certification, but to enhance your cloud know-how.
