Azure Queues are managed storage resources that you can use to store and process messages. You can use Azure Queues for a variety of applications, including messaging and asynchronous processing.

Azure Queues offers two types of queues:

  • Standard queues - These are general purpose queues designed for short-lived messages such as those from mobile devices or IoT devices. Standard queues can be used for all types of messages, including text and XML-based messages, attachments and attachments with file names..

  • Topic-based queues - Topic-based queues allow you to store structured data in Azure Storage using the standard naming and folder structure rules that you would use with the Azure Blob service or Azure Table service. You can establish topics by creating folders beneath a parent topic and then creating child topics within those folders by adding more folders beneath it.

The azure online course from Intellipaat will walk you through all the fundamentals of Azure and teach you more about queues in Azure.

Rupendar, one of Intellipaat’s learner benefited from this course and got a salary hike in his job. You can check his success story below.
