There are two primary deployment models of the cloud: Public and Private.

  • Public  Cloud: The public cloud is a collection of hardware, networking, storage, services, applications, and interfaces that are owned and run by a third party and made available to other businesses or individuals.

  • Private Cloud: The private cloud is the collection of hardware, networking, storage, services, applications, and interfaces that an organization owns and manages for the benefit of its personnel, associates, or clients. This can be developed and maintained solely for the benefit of one business by a third party.

  • Hybrid Cloud: The hybrid cloud environment, which most businesses employ, combines private computing resources with public services.

  • Multi-Cloud: A multi-cloud environment is what some businesses utilize in addition to a range of public cloud services to support the various developer and business units.
