What is the meaning of 1 in f9?

Please be informed that we are collecting the values of 'f(x,1)' in a list data named as 'result'. 'f(x,1)' is the NumPy array. The number '1' is used to collect values in the form of a vector. We can use '0' when we need to store the list as a row vector.  So '1' is more preferred here.
