Could someone guide me on how to get AWS-certified? Should I first get a foundational certificate or should I join a training institute?

Basically, it is not required to take up the Foundational certificate first, if you want you can directly take up one of the associate certification exams, like the architect, developer, or the sysops admin.

AWS Solutions Architect: He/She is a one who likes to build architecture, create an entire infrastructure using AWS website.

Associate Developers: He/She likes to create an application which is created uses cloud services which will be hosted on the cloud.

Associate Sysops admin: He is an expert who is already an admin in a company, this certification is for a professional who is already working as an admin in a company, to administrate the company services and servers. You can join AWS Sysops Training to clear AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate exam in a single attempt
