Can anyone tell me the skills I need to learn for entering the business analytics field?

To learn business analytics, you need to follow a particular path. I suggest you follow the below path based on my experience but may vary to individuals.

  • Try to understand how business works.
  • Learn mathematics concepts like probability and statistical concepts like descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Learn Business analysis using Excel, SAS.   
  • Learn about databases and query languages like SQL
  • Learn one of the data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBi
