What is azure cosmos DB collection?

I started learning Azure Cosmos DB recently. Can anyone explain azure cosmos DB collection and how to create a collection?

Azure Cosmos DB collection contains JSON files and Javascript applications like stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions.

We can create Azure cosmos DB collection following these steps:

Step 1: Log in to Azure portal and go to the main dashboard

Step 2: In the databases list, click on the database to which you want to add a collection

Step 3: Click “Add Collection” and enter the collection ID. Choose the pricing tier you want.

Step 4:  You can see Cosmos DB collection is created in the database
