Generally, your data engineer interviews will be focused more on solving a problem end-to-end from a Data Engineering perspective. You can be asked to design the data platform or architecture for a hypothetical product or some existing FB product like Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. In the first round, you will talk about the architectural pieces. How they fit with each other. Each product will have some constraints in the problem statement. So, pick your stack carefully.
