The short answer is yes. You have to be good at math for data analysis because:
- To choose the right preparation of data for computation, transform data better and choose the right methods.
- To understand what means what (Example: mean vs median), interpreting results, testing significance, etc.
- To interpret from the graphical illustrations made on data.
