In Kubernetes, a cluster is a collection of nodes that run containerized applications, as this form allows it to be more lightweight than virtual machines and paves way for easy development, movement and deployment.

Every Kubernetes cluster consists of a master node with a set of working nodes under it. And these clusters enable a container to be run in any platform or machine, in virtual, physical, on-premise, or in the cloud.
