Could somebody tell me whether Java and JavaScript are same?

No, Java and JavaScript both are different. Java is an object-oriented programming language, whose programs run on every browser and are complied.

Whereas, JavaScript is an object-based scripting language which creates programs that take very less memory and are designed for the web pages to integrate well with its HTML contents.
