Could someone tell me who could become a data analyst?

Anyone with the required skillsets could become a data analyst. It's preferable to have a degree related to data science or any bachelor’s degree in the computer field that would enable you to transfer skills. These will satisfy the requirement for an entry-level data analyst job. If you need a higher-level job with a more salary package, you have to go for masters or doctoral degrees.

Gain a sound knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, C++, PHP, etc.

With proficiency in data management and associated tools like SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau, etc. along with good mathematical skills.

Soft skills like good communication skills, strong domain knowledge, etc.
