Is angular better than AngularJS?

Could someone tell me whether Angular is better than Angular JS?

Google developed a front-end web framework and open-sourced it. This web framework is named Angular JS, JS for JavaScript as the framework is based on JavaScript. But soon the team at Google realized that for bigger applications or for scaling Angular JS isn’t meeting the standard. Thus, they sat and completely rewrote their framework in TypeScript stating better maintainability of code, and named it Angular 2.0 and thus Angular JS has been transformed to Angular.

Angular JS is good for creating smaller web applications that are lighter and using this framework it's quicker and easier to build applications along with other features. But in the current generation, apps need to be scaled and require complex tasks to be completed, hence in situations like these Angular is the better option out of the two.
