I am not too intelligent, can I become a data scientist?

Hi there, I believe that I am not very intelligent. I wasn't very good in my academics. Can I become a data scientist?

IQ is an outdated concept. Having a high IQ doesn’t show one’s ability to handle real-world challenges. To become a data scientist you don’t need your intelligence to be off the charts. The hardest thing about being a data scientist is having knowledge about various fields like Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Coding, etc. If you can gain enough knowledge in these fields you can become a Data Scientist.
