Can you use Python for both front end and back end using Django framework?

I am currently studying Django tutorial that needs JavaScript as the front-end and Python for the back-end:

I am having doubt in below two questions:

Can we substitute JavaScript with Python? What are the benefits and drawbacks of that?

Please be informed that no, you cannot use python in the frontend. You can only use frontend technologies like html, CSS, javascript, jQuery, etc... for the frontend. Python can be used as a scripting language in the backend.
