Could someone tell me what is the difference between Linux and Ubuntu?

Linux and Ubuntu are different from each other. Linux is an OS kernel which is free and open-source and is based on UNIX, whereas, Ubuntu is a Linux Distro, or Linux Distribution or a Linux Project, that took up Linux and modified and added many features to make it more appealing to the user. Like Ubuntu there are numerous operating systems that are available out there for anyone to download, install and use it.
