Java home should point to a JDK not a JRE

Below is the error I get when I’m trying to set up maven: 

"JAVA_HOME should point to a JDK not a JRE"

Can anyone tell me how to point JAVA_HOME to JDK in windows using IntelliJ IDEA?

Follow the below steps:

Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> Advanced system settings -> Advanced -> Environment Variables -> New System Variable
