Should I take Security+ SY0-501 or the Security+ SY0-601?

Could anyone tell me which exam to choose, SY0-501 or SY0-601?

It's your wish you can take up any version of this exam, either SY0-501 or SY0-601. SY0-501 the older version, covers more objectives (37) than the newer SY0-601 which, covers only 35. If you have invested your time and money in SY0-501, then it's best to continue with the same. But if you are yet to start, check out the newer version instead.
