Data Science and Python is a great combination. Python has been the go-to language for data scientists because of its advent. If you have large data, python handles it better. But if you want visualization and presentation, R is better. Other utilities are somewhat similar. If you are not familiar with programming, R is better than python as it is more readable and understandable for a non-programmer.
