I wanted to configure MySQL data sync with the Azure SQL Database. My database isn't showing on the drop-down list while trying to connect.

When you create a database, In the backend two of them created - The master database and your database.

The same database can not be added, you will have to choose a member database for it.

In case you want to use the same database as your sync data and metadata, you might want to go for the Azure Data factory here. It helps you create a single database for the entire purpose.
