Can anyone tell me about the first Artificial Intelligence?

Allen Newell and Hebert A. Simon made the first Artificial Intelligence in 1955. The first Artificial Intelligence program Logic Theorist was designed to imitate the complex problem-solving skills of a human. Research and Development Corporation has funded this Logic Theorist and was presented at Dartmouth Summer Research Project on AI in 1956.
