The Turing Test was the first test that was proposed to evaluate the concept of Artificial Intelligence. Alan Turing, an English mathematician came up with the test to see if a human being can differentiate between a machine and another human being in a blind test. The test worked in a simple way where questions were posed to machines and humans in a blind test environment, if the person asking the questions could not differentiate between the response of a machine as compared to the response of another human, then it was considered that the particular machine that answered the question had passed the Turing test. However, back in 1950, this was a huge challenge due to the technology of that time but today there are implementations of AI in a lot of fields that can not only pass the Turing Test but ace it thoroughly in terms of convincing a human.
