The major difference between Business Intelligence analysts and a Data Analyst is, a Data Analyst needs to have better technical skills than a BI analyst. Both Business Intelligence analysts and data analysts work together in the company. If a company gets a project, a Business Intelligence analyst has to gather the requirements and send them to a data analyst.

A data analyst understands the data and makes statistical inferences and insights from data. Also, a data analyst has to make visualizations and bring out hidden and useful insights from raw data.

Business Intelligence analyst is responsible for presenting these inferences to stakeholders. So, Business Intelligence analysts must have good presentation and communication skills.
