Node.js: Python not found exception due to node-sass and node-gyp

Question

My Jenkins environment is not working properly but my local machine is working fine as i have python installed.

I had detected the problem from the logs, and it was related to an internal dependency that is node-gyp v3.5.0 from node-sass v3.8.0.

My main question is which version of node-sass can I install to neglect this?

Basically what is happening in your case is that the Node-sass is trying to download the binary for your system while installing. The Node 5 is being supported by 3.8. If your Jenkins can't download the prebuilt binary, then you need to follow the platform requirements on Node-gyp README (Python2, VS or MS Build) I would suggest you update your Node up to 6 as version 5 is not being supported by Node.
