How to use azure application gateway for outbound traffic of a vnet

Question

We don't want to expose our Virtual Network and so for that, we are trying to use Application Gateway. But we don't know how it works. Can anyone help me with this?

You can use NAT Gateway, which helps you to provide outbound internet connectivity for more than one subnets of your Virtual Network. After that, you can whitelist NAT Gateway IP.
