Artificial Intelligence is a new-age field that has been here for around half a century being continuously optimized. There are a few disadvantages of AI and they are:
- Unemployment: With the full-scale implementation of AI, job loss in various sectors is confirmed, if professionals do not reskill. AI will replace all the old jobs with a new ones. And if you are not ready for the new set of jobs, then you will be left out of the job.
- High Creation Cost: AI is a very complex technology that is trying to mimic and enhance the cognitive skills of human to perform human tasks, to make their lives easier, and hence the cost of implementing Artificial Intelligence systems are too high. And not every company could afford such high infrastructure.
- Humans becoming Lazier: With full-scale automation, and increased AI penetration to our personal lives, the side effect is that humans will become even lazier.
- Machines have no emotions: They could be portrayed to have emotions through facial expressions or through visually, but the fact is that inherently they do not have any emotion. So, the future workforce when humans will be working alongside robots, do not expect mercy or emotions, they will not be able to show, unless they are not programmed for it.
