Could someone tell me whether Artificial Intelligence is only about software?

Well, Artificial Intelligence is not just only about a software or multiple ones. Artificial Intelligence or AI is the intelligence that gets implanted on a machine which then becomes capable to process, analyze, and bring out their own form of solutions that matches the requirements, that is dynamic and personalized based on the data they were trained, and it doesn’t end here. As AI, is capable enough to write its own algorithms, and software to learn new things, understand new dimensions and progress itself without any form of human intervention required to complete any task.

AI is self-capable to handle itself, and to offer solutions, to make this world more organized and efficient in functions. So, AI is not only about software, rather it's a very big concept that is changing the world we live in and the society we thrive in.
