To transfer the domain name registration to route 53, you will have to carry out certain steps that I have explained below:

  1. Obtain the zone file from your DNS provider, this will contain a list of DNS record data for your domain name
  2. Use Route53's management console to create a hosted zone that can store the DNS records
  3. Follow its prompted transfer process
  4. The process will finally be complete once you contact the organization with whom you have registered your domain name and ask for a transfer. Post this your DNS queries will start getting answered.

There is an informative video on Route 53 that you can check out for more!
