This career option only opens with sufficient experience and skillset and is not an entry-level job profile. The pre-requisites to becoming a security engineer are:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in conventional fields like Computer Science and engineering, IT, Systems Engineering, or any relevant field degree holder could enter this career.
  2. Industry recommends at least 2 years of work experience in cybersecurity-related duties for example being a cybersecurity analyst, etc.
  3. Proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, C, Ruby, etc.
  4. Certifications like CISM and CISSP will work your way in advancing your career.

Make the first step into your career by checking out Cyber Security Certification. But to go deeper into the field you can check our cyber security courses and cissp certification.
