I am trying to work on creating a map that shows sales of products across different territories. These territories have zip codes and are custom territories overflow into multiple states or are partially in a state. I have gotten everything set up and it looks good for the most

If the worksheet is on zip codes then to create a map you no need to force Tableau to visualize data from the original position on the specific geographic role bases. Place lat and log more generic. It can match manually to Alaska zip codes to lat/long more "continental" areas.
