AWS S3 buckets stores data as objects, where this method can also be called as object-based storage. The main difference between file storage and object storage is the file storage stores the data inside a folder/ directory, whereas object storage has a single repository that keeps objects, without nesting files within another folder. The stored objects do not follow the traditional hierarchy of directory, instead it stores in a flat storage space called S3 bucket.
