ELK is a combination of three open-source software Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.

Elastic search helps to search and analyze the huge volume of data. Search engines use this elastic search in their applications for a quick search and better results.

Logstash is used to process the logs from applications and send them to Elasticsearch. Logstash is a data processing pipeline contains events. It processes each event and sends it to other destinations like elastic search.

Kibana is an analytics and visualization platform to make pretty dashboards to understand data. We can use machine learning in kibana for forecasting and change detection.
