Configuration Management is an automated method to monitor and manage computer systems and software work efficiently. If we do not use automation, there is a risk for manual error in building, maintaining large-scale IT systems.

The main goal of configuration management is to define the state of each system is known and determined states. There are several tools available such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CFEngine, and Salt in pioneering configuration management.
