David Aronchick, Jeremy Lewi, and Vishnu Kannan who works for Google as Google open-source has co-founded the Kubeflow project to help the data scientists to make better use of running machine learning jobs on Kubernetes clusters.

After its first release in 2018, many companies such as Google, Arrikto, Cisco, IBM, Red Hat, CoreOS, and CaiCloud also contributed to the project.
