Could someone tell me what is DTU in the Azure SQL database?

DTU refers to Database Transaction Unit and it is a performance metric of the Azure SQL database, as lower DTU equals low performance and higher DTU means higher performance. DTU is a combination of CPU, Memory, and Data I/O & Log I/O.

All these 3 elements are combined into one performance metric called DTU.
