Yes, you are right, it would kill conventional IT jobs and replace them with new tech jobs that the new workforce should get accustomed to.

Because according to the World Economic Forum, cloud and associated jobs will generate more jobs by 2022, more than they kill. This agency forecasts that the cloud will kill 75 million jobs by 2022 and in the same period it will generate 133 million jobs.
