What are the possible effects of changing my Salesforce.com Organization name?

Is changing the name of Salesforce organization will effect the installed apps? Or if other third party app can leverage the name of the Organization?

Answer 1

Any other application can uses your SFDC organization ID. But you can change it always in your sandbox.
