Getting AWS certified as Solutions Architect is one thing and getting a job as AWS Solutions Architect is another thing. Let me share some of the tips by which you could get a job as an AWS solutions architect:

  1. I suppose you as a complete beginner. Then the first step you need to do is to acquire AWS certifications for Solutions Architect and that could be either Associate level or Professional level. For the associate level, you need to have a year’s experience or more, and for the professional-level, you need to have 2 or more years of experience to take the certification exam.
  2. Once you meet the eligibility criteria, register for certification exam, by visiting the official AWS training website (www.aws.training) and schedule the exam at your preferred date and location.
  3. Take the certification, qualify it, and if in case, you fail, re-take the exam after waiting for 14-days (AWS Exam retake policy). Once you qualify, you will receive the certification from AWS, which will be valid for three years.
  4. After you receive the certification, you could apply for a job as an AWS Solutions Architect. Now you need to possess the required practical experience alongside your skillsets gained that are required by your employer.
  5. And also, you need to have experience in working with the AWS platform, which you receive by doing hands-on projects and practicing exercises.
  6. Develop soft skills like good communication, teamwork, self-motivation, etc., and demonstrate that in front of the interviewer. That’s it your job is set.
