Could someone tell me what is Visio software used for?

Microsoft Visio software is used for creating diagrams, and other vector diagrams like, flow charts, process flow, process control, 3D maps, floor plans, data flow diagrams, etc. It was introduced back in 1992 and later acquired by Microsoft. Recently, Visio is added to Office 365, with only viewing and sharing and no edit/create rights, which you could acquire post paying the subscription cost.
