This foundational course helps students understand the practicalities and relevance of economics and finance through a variety of diagrams and insights. Economics topics include classical and contemporary economic thinking, supply and demand, elasticity, competition and monopoly, inflation, and unemployment. Financial topics include the Federal Reserve System, FOMC and money markets, interest rates, financial structure, and investment decisions.

In this basic course, you will learn basic accounting procedures and how to use accounting information. Topics include developing an understanding the basic concepts underlying financial accounting information. Understand the basics of recording accounting information using accounting equations and familiarize yourself with the four basic statements: the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement.

This foundational course prepares students for courses that require the use of mathematics and statistics. This material contains an examination of the four functions: a) the linear function, b) the power function, c) the exponential function, and d) the logarithmic function. Also included is an introduction to calculus and basic descriptive and experimental statistics.

In this course, students will focus on intrapreneurship and how to apply entrepreneurial skills in a corporate environment.
