Data Science is a comprehensive term including statistics, programming, data visualization, big data, machine learning and much more.

The term machine learning is self-explaining. Machines learn to accomplish tasks that aren’t particularly programmed to do. Many techniques are put into training like supervised clustering, regression, Naive Bayes, etc.

Machine learning is just a component of data science. Data science is a big umbrella covering each and every feature of data processing and not only statistical or algorithmic aspects. Now, to answer your question, it can be concluded that Data Science has a better future, mainly due to the point that it is much more comprehensive in terms of what kind of work needs to be done. Machine Learning can also come under this job description, but not individually. If you want to know more about Machine Learning future, then you read the guide on the future scope of machine learning.
