In cyber security, a vulnerability is a weakness of an asset or group of assets that can be exploited by a cyber-attack to gain unauthorized access to or perform unauthorized actions on assets that has value to the organization. Vulnerabilities can allow cybercriminals to run code, access a system's memory, install malware and breach the sensitive data.
