Robotic Process Automation and Machine Learning are entirely different domains within Artificial Intelligence (A.I.). RPA focuses on automating human repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency within an organization and Machine Learning on the other hand adapts to a new environment by putting up the skills of A.I. by learning and studying its environment.

RPA is considered as the most basic form of A.I. and machine learning is higher up in the order. These two aren’t similar but definitely are related to their intention of deployment, that is, to assist humans to make their work a little lesser and more efficient.
